Subject: Cancelation of the 2020 Shadeland Camp Season
Very Reverend, Reverend and Venerable Clergy, Church-School Congregation Executive Board Presidents and Members, Mission Parish Trustees, Dear Fathers, Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
In light of the present COVID-19 pandemic, the Diocesan Administrative Board herein advises all Clergy, Church-School Congregation Boards, Missionary Parish Councils and Circles of Serbian Sisters of the following:
D E C I S I O N
Due to the worldwide Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19), please be advised that the annual 4-week Shadeland Camp season has been cancelled in total. Out of an abundance of caution and with all attention to the health and wellbeing of our campers, staff, clergy, and volunteers; this decision is made to mitigate any and all risk associated with potential exposure to and transmission of this virus. Although the scientific community continues to research this disease, the Diocesan Council, in tandem with the Federation of the Circles of Serbian Sisters, is determined to protect our greatest resource – our children. While we continue to pray that the Coronavirus is contained, suppressed, and conquered through public health management, it is our obligation to act responsibly and in the best interest of all involved.
All submitted camp deposits will be refunded.
